Summer Work

I know it is summer, and most teachers want to relax and spend time with family, maybe at the beach.  I spend the week after school ended at the beach, thanks to a high school friend and her husband!  (Thanks, James and Amy L.)
I want that too, but right now I am between travel dates, so I am working on my preps for my classes.  I am going to start uploading some of my files.  Some can be used in general education classrooms, and some only in special education classrooms.   Please check back often to see what I upload.  I am redoing most of these, because I want them to look "pretty" and "nice"!

Welcome to Lisa's Lovelies

I have become a Pintrest junkie.  I am not really proud of that, but I am having fun!!  I have completely enjoyed looking at all the great pins for education. I have run into many, many great blogs with great ideas for the classroom, teachers, and students!  The only problem I have is that I teach high school, and there are not a whole lot of blogs that I have found that really help me.  See not only do I teach high school, but I teach special education, and I have 3-4 preps a day.  I see high school blogs, and there are some ideas that I will be using for my lesson plans: US History, US Government, Contemporary Issues, Economics, Personal Finance, & Biology.  I, also, like some of the middle school blogs, because they seem to be more on the level of my students.  What I am not finding is many blogs about the high school classroom.  I am a girly girl, and I want my classroom to be bright, fun, and not too juvenile for high school.  I teach special ed, but I, also, have general ed students for advisory once a week.  


So to make a long blog even longer, I am going to start this one, and put on it ideas that I have and ideas that I borrow and tweak from others.  I will try to give credit where it is due, but sometimes it is hard with all the re-pins and such.
